Offset Printing
Offset printing offers endless possibilities. With offset printing, you can customize your presentation materials with text or graphics in one or multiple colors. You can add that extra splash with dull or gloss varnishes, or laminates (such as aqueous coating). Offset printing is appropriate for all of your presentation materials, including brochures, proposal covers, binders, and folders. Offset printing can be used in conjunction with foil stamping, embossing or debossing, diecutting and much more.
Offset printing is a process whereby ink is applied to paper through a printing press. Offset printing provides many options for creativity. From changing the paper stock to using metallic inks, so many effects can be achieved. Ask your Bindrite dealer about the endless possibilities!
Because of the numerous variables related to offset printing, there are many ways of saving costs as well. Discuss the options with your BindRite dealer. Digital printing is also a cost-effective alternative to offset printing, but only in runs of 500 pieces or less, and some quality is sacrificed.
Foil Stamping
Foil Stamping is a simple process that adds elegance to any piece. It is especially appropriate for brochure and proposal covers, binders and folders. It can be used to highlight text, logos, or other graphics and can be used in conjunction with embossing or debossing.
The process of foil stamping starts by creating a metal die from camera-ready artwork. Then, heat is applied to the die as it is pressed through a thin polyester film ribbon (the foil) and onto the paper. The foil is then released and fused onto the paper.
Foil stamping is available in a variety of colors and finishes, although most commonly seen in gold metallic. These options range from metallic (matte and glossy), satin, pearlized, wood grain, holographic, marble, colorful
pigmented, and clear foils. Foil swatches and samples are available from your BindRite dealer.
Screen Printing
Screen-Printing is more commonly known by it's old name of silk screening. Using nylon screens, screen-printing is most effective for small quantities (below 500), oversized items (such as posters), and materials that need to be printed on different substrates. These substrates could include acetate, static clings, plastics, glass, Plexiglass, t-shirts, vinyl, foam core, a variety of boards, and so much more. Screen-Printing is especially appropriate for binders that use vinyl covers, however it can be used for brochure covers, proposal covers, and folders.
Screen-Printing is a process that uses nylon screens with photo sensitive emulsion. Using a squeegee, ink is pushed through the open areas of the nylon mesh onto the substrate, leaving behind the image. Traditionally, colors needed to be solid with no screens, or the dot patter had to be very large. In fact, blending of colors was virtually impossible. Today, with the technological advancements available, Screen-Printing can now use transparent inks, allowing an image to be produced in 4-color process.
Diecutting
Diecutting is an easy process that adds interest to any piece! It is appropriate for brochure and proposal covers, and folders. Diecutting takes a little imagination, but is most commonly seen as a square window.Diecuts can be simple or elaborate.
Diecutting is a process in which a portion of the paper is cut out to reveal what is beneath it. There are two processes that can be used in diecutting. The process is determined by the difficulty of the diecut. For most diecuts, traditional methods are used. However, when diecutting a complex visual, a laser diecut is used.
Traditionally, a diecut is achieved using a metal die that is pressed into the paper with a wooden die on the other side, cutting away a portion of the paper, leaving the diecut. Ask your Bindrite dealer about a custom diecut for your project..
Embossing and Debossing
Embossing or debossing is a simple process that adds subtle elegance to any piece. It is appropriate for brochure and proposal covers, binders and folders. It can be used to highlight text, logos, or other graphics and can be especially effective with foil stamping.
Embossing or debossing creates a dimensional effect (embossing is raised above the paper and debossing is pressed into the paper). With the use of a two metal dies, created from camera-ready artwork, pressing the paper between them creates the effect, while heat is applied to expand the paper fibers. Adjusting the dies to create single or multi-level images can create various effects. Ask your BindRite dealer about the various levels of embossing and debossing.
